The Snakescape Exhibit is a complete habitat system, a museum quality piece.

The enclosure itself is custom made. It can be designed as a free standing piece or
incorporated into book case or wall unit. Different finishes from mahogany to olive ash burl laminates, or just a plain color. Can also be made from acrylics/ PVC.

The interior of the exhibit is all hand sculpted and painted. Within the width and height is a
‘jungle gym’ type network of vines and limbs. Here I sculpt up some tree trunks, vines, leaves, mushrooms, fungus, etc. into an imaginary home for these snakes. It’s a piece full of the kind of detail that really shows off the snake in it’s ‘natural’ environment. The animal safe and comfortable…’hiding in plain sight’.

I use epoxy to create these works…same stuff used in zoo and aquarium exhibits.
Dramatic lighting creates warm effect, cast shadows and highlights…comes with dimmer. The lighting can be dimmed to the point where it’s almost ‘dark’…when dimmed you will see the snake doing it’s nocturnal thing…so cool to see them in the ‘S’ shape hunting, or stretching from a perch to the bottom to drink.
